The Homeopaths Association of
Greece (HAG) was established 1997 and approved with decision
4926/1997 by the Athens Court of First Instance as the professional
body of Greek Homeopaths (doctors and non-doctors) aiming
to:
- promote homeopathy amongst Greek citizens
and
- consolidate their professional rights and interests in Greece.
The HAG is a member of the European Central
Council of Homeopaths (ECCH) and meets the standards set by
the ECCH:
a) On the joint education of European Homeopaths
b) On the skills of Homeopaths, and
c) On compliance with an Ethics and Professional Deontology
Code.
In addition, since its establishment, the
HAG has been sending briefing letters and proposals to the
Ministry of Health, concerning:
a) The establishment
of a committee with members from all interested associations
for the recognition of homeopathy, as proposed by the European
Council.
b) The determination of the minimum criteria for the recognition
of private and public schools that will award diplomas in
homoeopathy after at least 3-year studies.
c) The creation of a National Homeopath Registry.
